Photographer Sam

Sam seems to have a natural photography talent and come to think of it, all things electrical. So when I showed him the digital camera, it took literally 5 seconds for him to learn how to take photos. Here is an example.

Spring wind

“The Spring Wind does not distinguish between high and low, it reaches everywhere. And the flowers and branches of plants and trees, themselves grow longer and shorter.”

Something I like to read every day.

"We do not provide young people our own beliefs. We should rather encourage them to use their own powers of decision, to forge their own conviction of the world. They must learn to look at the world with their eyes them! Our beliefs are valuable for us. We bring young people to simply say: this is how we'll see the world. You decide how it is for you. We must awaken faculties and not transmit beliefs. Young people should not believe in our truths, but our personality. Let us show them that we are researchers and put them on the way to be themselves scientists! "

It won't be long now...at 5 1/2 months nearly, Bella is starting to sit on her own. Interested in everything around her, she is raring to go. Watch out Sam!

Happiness is

...the baby walker. Although her feet can't yet touch the floor, Isabella was delighted with her new toy. Something new to keep her amused - for a while anyway.

Happy Easter

We had a lovely Easter weekend. Daddy came home from working in Metz. We had a chocolate easter bunny hunt for Sam in the garden. We went to village fair and finally the school egg hunt, where Sam ran around like crazy scooping up choc eggs. The lovely things was, was that he gave one of his eggs to a baby girl...which, if you know Sam - he doesn't share his food!

In France, they celebrate April 1st with a red fish. The joke is to stick the red fish on someone's back without them knowing....bizarre!

Spring is finally here!

The clocks have gone forward and all the trees are coming out in blossom. It is so nice to go out into the fresh air and enjoy the countryside, all be it in between showers. There are lots of jobs to be done such as planting all the veggie seeds and flower seeds. Weed all the flower and veg beds. plough the veg plot etc etc. Trying to all these things with a 5 month old and a nearly 3 year old. Daddy gets to do all the heavy mucky jobs.
