Last week

When Scott is away working (as he was last week), Sam takes on his 'helpful' role. Helping me cook dinner. Chopping up courgettes - "yuk!" and even doing some English homework. Sam is learning to read and white (and speak) French at school, but we need to really start working on his English. I've had some tips recently from friends about how to 'play' little games in English and it works a treat!

And Bella, she would watch "Beast" all day long (Beauty and the Beast) if we let her.

  1. Your house always looks way more interesting than my house, even though we are doing much the same stuff ('cepting the French, you know!). I really love a visit here, Andrea. x

  3. It's such a great thing to have little helpers! By the way, for writing exercises I'd recommend doing fun kids' crossword puzzles, I've found them really helpful in teaching the spelling of a language and kids usually love them because they're like playing a game. You can even make them yourself at puzzlemaker.com!

My daughter watched 101 Dalmatians 4 times last weekend when we rented it. I still feel like a bad mom for letting her! :)

  9. My two are obsessed with Beauty and the Beast, which they call "Belle", and Tangled, which has been played on a constant loop for the last month. I love that Angus is too little to care that they are "girl" films.

  10. A helper in the kitchen is a very good thing. The movie my kids were hooked on when they were little was "the lion king" over and over and over......
