Before the rain

We made the most of the glorious weather. It's forecast rain until goodness knows when? We did loads of gardening. Many veggies planted, ground rotavated and lawns mowed. Unfortunately, many of the perennial flower plants look like they died in -19 oC temps. Our lovely 20 year old camelia looks pretty dead. What a shame. Maybe all the rain and warm-ish temperatures will bring some back to life. At least the chesnut tree in front of our front door has suddenly woken up.

  2. We have been checking daily on some bulbs we planted last year. It looks like some made it through the winter (and squirrel digging). Your chickens appear to be well loved in the photos!

  3. That late dumping of snow was horrible! It killed 2 rosemary bushes and lavenders, both my oleanders, a jasmine and a campsis!
