I always find painting a faff. I try and keep a stack of plastic tubs for the paint, which end up being thrown or separated (I have a bad habit of changing storage items and hence lose everything). I stole this idea from
Veronica - an old baking tray. Genuis! I'd have never thought of that. Now, painting is quick and easy to prepare and I have some old aprons to cover Bella and Sam with - well, most of them.
What a good idea - they have plenty of space to mix the paint too!! At school we use plastic shot glasses for pva gule - they are £1 for 50 from a Poundland shop. Let me know if you would like me to post some to you xx
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteExcellent (and photogenic) idea. I don't enjoy painting with the kids...the mess! It takes longer to get it ready and clean up than they ever spend painting. I was so happy when Bella started nursery and asked to do painting every day, i felt i'd been let off the hook.
ReplyDeleteoh, great idea! the preschooler would love this.
ReplyDeletegreat idea- I like to use milk cartons sometimes- great to recycle.
ReplyDeletedoes the paint wash out easy and you can still use the muffin tin for baking? it is a great idea. i use paper plates - wasteful i know... i have some old silicon muffin cups i think i'll use for this now. thanks for the tip! now, what's a faff?
ReplyDeletelovely! before having my daughter, i was an elementary art teacher and we used egg cartons and covered with plastic wrap. so easy for cleanup and can be tossed when the paint turns. cute pics! x
ReplyDeleteI think I'm gonna copy. Totally agree - painting=faff!!
