School days
Sam and Bella have finished their 3rd week of school. Bella just goes for the morning. We knew Bella would be ok. Being around hardly any other children normally, we were correct in hoping she would love being with other children.
Sam on the other hand was moving out of his 'nursery' class into a conventional classroom with a 'real' teacher. He was terrified especially as Eric is tall, dark and scary looking to a 5 year old. But all is fantastic. Eric is a gentle giant and Sam loves the new lesson structure. Tuesday he came home for lunch and stayed at home with a cold and for the first time asked if he could go back. A result for both of them.

Oooooo - I love that fun chalkboard wall.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest had a tall man for her 2nd grade teacher. At first she was a little timid, but he was wonderful and it was one of her favorite years ever.
I am so glad your two are settling in to the routine. It's such a time of change for them and for us. I feel like I do a lot of to-ing and fro-ing at the moment and am mighty glad it's Friday! Have a great weekend. x
ReplyDeleteif they are doing so well it is a testiment to you and your husband. Your mornings must be heaven xx

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to hear that your little ones have settled into school well ... it's been good here too although my second little boy is a little too partial to getting out of his seat in the classroom ... something for his teacher to work on, I'm sure :) ... Bee xx
