We took full advantage of the rare sight of the sun on Sunday morning and also what later became apparent the rare occasion of 5 healthy people at the same time if only for a few hours. Because literally within an hour of returning home I was hit with the dreaded stomach bug. But I'm thankful we had a lovely walk and thankful I never used the stomach cramp tablets given to me during pregnancy. They've definately come in handy now. We're hoping for more beautiful sunny days. I say this as it pours down with rain.

Down by the river
An autumn family walk down to the river and only one child tantrum - I shan't name names (bella). I love our weekly walks - the best part being the nice cup of tea at the end.

Family walk
We regulary take a walk around our village as a family. The weather however has suddenly taken a wintery turn. Very pretty when the sun shines, illuminating old derelict French buildings. It's time to wrap up warm and dress with extra layers.
Thank you Joules for the childrens coats. They are excellent quality. I especially love the floral lining of Bellas jacket and everyone comments on Anna's stripy bear all in one!

The woods
We've spent alot of time walking in the woods this Christmas. Crossing the narrow bridges is a little nervewracking but of course. the children always want to cross. Our Dutch neighbours were here for Christmas too so Sam had a fantastic time with their family of 6!

Woodland walk
We set out on a mushroom hunting mission recently. Bella was excited to walk in the 'jungle', but when it came down to it was scared and clung to Scott. Sam jumped about fighting with brambles and branches and was a perfect gentleman holding stray branches back for me and his nana. We returned with sadly no mushrooms but instead a basket full of chestnuts.
