Where we are
This is where you'll find us most days. It's been praying on my mind lately as someone asked me recently where have I been, why don't I go out much? When I replied that we're mostly at home, she looked at me as if I was crazy and that was pretty much the end of the conversation. I went away feeling a little down. But, our home is where we work, play and live. The children are happy exploring our 1 acre garden, the fruit garden across the road and the field with the pond. We're extremely lucky to have all this and extremely happy to be here :)

I think it's a blessing to have a house that you can call a home. I would much rather stay at home enjoying time together. And who wouldn't want to stay home when your home feels so welcoming and warm. Have a wonderful weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteIt's such a beautiful place to hang out! Why go anywhere else?! Sometimes with little people it's hard to go out all the time, we have a park nearby and a little backyard and garden that my little Avie loves hanging out. Less tantrums. More fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my other little blog, and leaving such kind words :)

And how I understand you! :) Being at home in such a home, and garden, with the children and the chickens, it is a beautiful world itself..
ReplyDeleteAnd so you should be! I am a homebody too and when people ask me what I've been up to I can never think of the amazing, earth shattering answer they are looking for.
ReplyDeleteI have total life envy when I visit your blog - if I lived where you live I would be very content to stay at home too. :-)
I am a homebody and can go days without leaving :) I know how your feel.

ReplyDeleteI tell you, if I lived in your house I'd NEVER leave!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I don't think I'd ever leave if that was my home, and that is definately not a bad thing. Home is where the heart is and all that : )

ReplyDeletei can't blame you for staying home. it is gorgeous. and honestly, so much easier to stay around when you have young children. you have a lovely place. xo
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed! Better to have a lovely home you want to hang out in than one you are constantly looking to escape. It looks like a beautiful place x
ReplyDeleteOh sometimes I feel like this too and people can be hurtful without even realising! Really your life is soo amazing, and its yours and its very special, I love reading about it too, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThe husband and I are total home bodies too, there is nothing better than spending a weekend at home with the dogs, good food and perhaps a glass of wine or three.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks wonderful, full of lovely places to explore (and I'm a bit jealous of your chickens! But I don't think chickens and high rise apartments mix...)
i love you. don't ever let comments like those make you feel down. you are a positive gracious person, you have so much and your gratitude is a beautiful thing. i'd give anything to not have to work and stay home. i need to go see anushka!
ReplyDeleteIf I were in your shoes I would rarely leave!
