Living in a small house proves to be difficult where toys are concerned. Baskets are tipped over and left. Several toy dinosaurs are now headless as the dogs assume they must be for them if they're left on the floor. It's always the dinosaurs.
Fresh flowers and blossoms are placed in situ to divert the eye and I found a wooden H in the wood shed that Scott threw away. I thought I would paint it or do something with it.
p.s. the messy books are not down to the children...or me :)
love this series of photos andrea. the light is so beautiful. and that one of you reminds me of a bout de souffle. al those bathroom mirror scenes and stripy tops. really lovely.
ReplyDeletethere is mess here too. always. but yours is prettier than mine ;-)
Beautiful images Andrea. And I love that H, wish I could find something like that. Your self-portrait is gorgeous too! x
ReplyDelete"h" is for happy! Love the view of your house and it looks so comfy. We had a dog that used to eat kid toys too.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is sooo beautiful, I had to pause and take several long looks at it. The flowers, the book, everything about it -- I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same with toys around here, too. And we don't even have that many, and neither do we have any dogs to blame...
Lovely self-portrait, you look beautiful.
I love the H and the pic of you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I completely understand the baskets of toys - I feel like I spend so much time packing things back into them!
Well hello there lovely lady:) Your photos are gorgeous as always I love your vase of blossoms they are beautiful. Small homes are hard to live and keep tidy, you can't collect too much before they start to get busy. but I love the cosy feel of them just the same. xx
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always so stunning! I really like the one with the H. x
ReplyDeleteOooh it all looks so pretty! We've been brining in blossom too and your H is genius! xx
ReplyDeleteLOVE your photos!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful, such lovely light, they look ver atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteyou have a charming home. i have been enjoying fresh blooms around our house this spring too. it really livens things up. beautiful pics. x
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos. That H would make a pretty neat pot stand. IF that's what they're even called??? x
ReplyDeleteOh poor dinosaurs : (
you clever house mouse you. i have been using the same trick lately with the daffodils they're selling at the market for a dollar. i think i should go cut some blossoms from the tree out front too!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of you! We have no dinousaurs here, Andrea but our puppy is VERY fond of gnawing children's books which drives me quite mad. Although our house here is not very big, the one we own and lived in before off the Normandy coast is very small indeed with NO garden so I totally understand your feelings about storage space, etc.
At least there's less surface area to clean! ;-)
Lovely pictures and great to see you ;)!
ReplyDeleteReally amazing photos today. Love the one of you - you are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI also try to divert the eye with flowers and plants...hence the many primroses on our front steps so people don't notice the crumbling render...
Ah, toys. There's just too much of them in our house. We are about to downsize and I know I'll have to keep most of them in boxes.
ReplyDeleteThe second pictures is my favorite.
Ok, the thing with toys is the same for everyone (or almost everyone).. Even if the house is not old, you know? :) There are bunches of toys, that I try to keep in boxes, or on shelves, and books too, but in the end, all the littlest are always on the floor.. to play easily with, I guess.. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images.. faded. Yes flowers always makes the mess blur into the corners. My home is a right mess! x
ReplyDeleteI think I need photography lessons from you. You frame things so beautifully. I love the blossums. ...possibly because i love blossums!
ReplyDeleteso beautiful, what mess? :)
ReplyDeletei love your home.
oooh that wildflower book! i LOVE that photo too.
