Home

Living in a small house proves to be difficult where toys are concerned. Baskets are tipped over and left. Several toy dinosaurs are now headless as the dogs assume they must be for them if they're left on the floor. It's always the dinosaurs.

Fresh flowers and blossoms are placed in situ to divert the eye and I found a wooden H in the wood shed that Scott threw away. I thought I would paint it or do something with it.

p.s. the messy books are not down to the children...or me :)

  4. The first photo is sooo beautiful, I had to pause and take several long looks at it. The flowers, the book, everything about it -- I love it.

It's the same with toys around here, too. And we don't even have that many, and neither do we have any dogs to blame...

    Lovely self-portrait, you look beautiful.

And I completely understand the baskets of toys - I feel like I spend so much time packing things back into them!

  13. Hi Andrea,

I love that photo of you! We have no dinousaurs here, Andrea but our puppy is VERY fond of gnawing children's books which drives me quite mad. Although our house here is not very big, the one we own and lived in before off the Normandy coast is very small indeed with NO garden so I totally understand your feelings about storage space, etc.

At least there's less surface area to clean! ;-)

  15. Really amazing photos today. Love the one of you - you are very pretty.

I also try to divert the eye with flowers and plants...hence the many primroses on our front steps so people don't notice the crumbling render...

  16. Ah, toys. There's just too much of them in our house. We are about to downsize and I know I'll have to keep most of them in boxes.

The second pictures is my favorite.

  17. Ok, the thing with toys is the same for everyone (or almost everyone).. Even if the house is not old, you know? :) There are bunches of toys, that I try to keep in boxes, or on shelves, and books too, but in the end, all the littlest are always on the floor.. to play easily with, I guess.. :)
