Bits and pieces

I won't complain about the weather, the colds, vomiting and the soggy mud being trampled through the house. It's been a 'whatever' type of week. There has been some creativity and lots of television watching too. I can't keep up with the laundry as potty training is not going well. But, I am persevering :)

Sam's school lunch menu is pinned to the fridge. I wish I had these meals when I was at school. They're prepared by a dietician each month, so it's reassuring to know that at least he is eating some goodness at school.

  1. I hope everyone feels better. My son was VERY difficult to potty train...it took forever. I am pleased to say it is now but a memory since he is 19 yo.

  2. Potty training isn't really happening in my house either... The other day he went without a nappy for ages, and every time I asked him if he needed a wee, he said no. And then as soon as he had his bath he stood up and had the longest wee ever!!! These kids :-)

  3. I am having such a MASSIVE 'whatever' week it's, like, whatever!!!!

Potty training is tough - are you doing child-led? That worked majorly for me. My kids were 3, 18 months and 2 when they did it. Whatever (there's that word again) age works for them! Good luck!! x

  4. I know some children potty train really easily, or so their parents say, well mainly dad's who don't really know what goes into potty training. Asa took so long, we had charts, wee charts, lovely! Jasper was better but who knows why. Good feelings winging their way to you. xxx

  7. That menu - translating with my school French looks yummy!

I started potty training my 2yo last week but we gave up as the day became all about the potty & not his speech - he has a severe delay. Therefore, I gave up the potty and will revisit when we have some communication. He did sit on it though, only to wee seconds after getting off it - almost every time! Hard work - good luck with it.

  9. my week wasn't so great either in the way of weather and just being house bound... no illness here or potty training woes. but, it was a rough week of too hot to go outside weather and feeling very very isolated and lonely.
