Bella is fully capable now of tending the chickens. She can unlock the pen, feed them and collect the eggs. I am there to supervise whilst drinking one of many morning coffees.
We have two cherry trees next to the chicken pen and the two cherries hanging from the top of the pen were the only ones I saw. The cherries on the table were bought ones.
One day, when we have chickens, I hope I have three little willing helpers like your Bella! Love those red boots xx
ReplyDeleteDo you think your chickens are enjoying those cherries!? x
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish we had chickens! And a cherry tree, I love cherries but they are always so expensive.
ReplyDeleteI love your life. I've actually been looking at homes to rent in france with a barn and orchard. It's really tempting! x
ReplyDelete....but cherries nonetheless - my littlest one dreams of cherries though I think it's a little too early in the season for them here.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could keep chickens, but I would worry to much - pesky foxes.

ps. I hope the rain has stopped with you - it's been a constant drizzle all day here.
We're considering a couple of hens to keep our little duck company (once he's grown up). That's reassuring to know that little Bella has the hang of looking after them - I should be alright!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that first photo. Now that Bella's accomplished this task, what's going to be her next? I remember her still-crawling days!
ReplyDeleteBella - what a clever little chicken ;) x
