Apricot flan

Any recipe that can be chopped, rolled, prodded and squished is a good recipe for kids to be involved with. Even if they won't eat it! Bella gets sidetracked and starts working on her own concoction whilst Sam follows my instructions and is a bit of a perfectionist.

It was an easy recipe with short-crust pastry and a egg, cream and apricot filling. It could have done with a little more sugar for my liking but got eaten pretty quickly anyway.

  5. yum yum- We had such an excess of apricots this year that I ended up pitting them and freezing them- I can only eat so much preserve in a year! This looks like a great recipe.

  9. It looks perfect! Please don't say the apricots came from your garden or I will die of jealousy and move to France. I adore apricots but they're expensive and never ripe in the supermarkets here. You have too budding chefs there. x
