Rainy days are here. Showers and cool temperatures makes for a rubbish July. We are keeping ourselves occupied with nature hunts, painting and playing.
I took Sam and Bella to the English library this morning for story time. Sam sat obediently to listen to the story with the other children. I tried to get Bella to join him but instead she loitered frequently wanting "pee pee", knocking my coffee over and was brought to me by a lady who said "is this your little girl? She's stood at the end of an aisle shouting "it's not fair". It would be nice to sit and chat with the other mums for longer but I have to laugh at her funny personality. I'm sure Sam went through a similar stage. It all goes so fast, I can't quite remember.
My daughter was the one who would listen to any storytime. My son was constantly on the move. It does go fast, but it is non stop fun :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I always laugh and marvel at the kids funny wee personalities- its annoying, frustrating and tiring being a parent a lot of the time but they are worth it! I love the pic of them both in the window! Jxx

ReplyDeleteYour description of Bella made me laugh! Angus lives to humilate me. This week, in a crowded cafe, he wandered off, then came back and shouted "I've had a poo! In my willy!". Joy.
ReplyDeleteyep. that's gus all over. he's 3 going on 2! i was told at nursery that all the other children help to get him to sit down for story time. so sweet. x
