Clearing
I've spent most of the week trying to tidy and have a clear out. It seemed a good excuse as I've had to find space for all our belongings again since we moved back home. I find it hard to let go, but I'm being tough making decisions as to what gets chucked and what gets saved. We're turning our upstairs into a play area for the children. A nice open space for all their toys and books.
Sam was happy this week to finally board the school bus and go swimming with his class. He was ill last week and was very upset he missed out. I was so worried about him being pushed in the water and asked Scott to speak to his teacher about him being not a strong swimmer. Of course, it turned out well and he had a great time. Phew!

used to have that exact same sewing box as a kid. Wonder where that ended up. As hard as it is there is certainly something cleansing/freeing about getting rid of "stuff". Just wish more "stuff" wouldnt just fill the spot...sometimes it seems neverending
ReplyDeleteI love your fresh new space.
ReplyDeleteI think we all have similar worries with our children, but I'm so glad it went well. Sometimes they can be tougher than we think.

You have such a great home! I love seeing all these sneak peeks. x
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to have a clear out, especially at this time of year, and fill your home with space and light. And now you've made room for all the new treasures you can bring home! Glad Sam's swimming went well - these little milestones can be harder for us than for the children.

Your spaces look beautiful. De-cluttering always feels a little overwhelming before I start, but so satisfying when I've finished. I've just done the children's rooms and keeping them clean is so much easier now! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love your home! I spot a Meaking Teapot, I have the coffee pot! Lovely green and blue colours! Jxx
ReplyDeleteloved the sneaky peak into your home - thankyou :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the little nooks of your home Andrea and your sewing space is just beautiful. The sewing box on your table is lovely I think I need one of them instead of my plastic one. I'm so glad things went well with Sam and swimming, I'm a little like you I do worry. I hope you are keeping well. xx
ReplyDeleteit sounds a bit like nesting :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home, nesting, and your oldest chicken is learning to swim!!! As our boys are the same age and have similarities, I hope all goes well for mine when he starts his lessons this spring! I'm nervous too.
