We set out on a mushroom hunting mission recently. Bella was excited to walk in the 'jungle', but when it came down to it was scared and clung to Scott. Sam jumped about fighting with brambles and branches and was a perfect gentleman holding stray branches back for me and his nana. We returned with sadly no mushrooms but instead a basket full of chestnuts.
oh poor bella! i remember going mushroom hunting with my grandfather. what a brave boy sam is with his stick.
ReplyDeleteit is very picturesque where you live andrea. kids looking cute as ever. i assume that is your mum? you both look very alike. it's always good to get out and explore where you live. xo

ReplyDeleteohhh poor Bella , lucky SHE has a big brother!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is Bella's duffle coat?! Sam is looking so grown up, can't wait to see you all again x x
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know which mushrooms would be safe to eat around here :/ Now chestnuts-they sound delicious!!
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely - big dark woods can be very scary places for little ones.
ReplyDeleteSo good you found something though -we have loads of mushrooms here, but no chestnuts and I am really fond of the latter.

Love the photos ... I remember searching for mushrooms with my granny too many years ago ... chestnuts are a great find too ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteI love the woods in the autumn, I can almost smell the mulchy leaves and damp air by looking at your photos! I am terrified of picking mushrooms in case I accidentally poison everyone. Chestnuts sounds much safer, you can enjoy roasting and eating them. x
ReplyDeleteps. I LOVE Bella's duffle coat.
Aw, how cute does Bella look in her coat and yellow boots! x
